Where I've Been Part 2

Now for the not sad reason I haven't been blogging as much! If you missed the first reason, pop over and read this post first.

Back in November I met up with Marni, the shop owner of Thistle Vintage Studio, where I had a few of my suitcase shelves and tables on consignment. We got to chatting (which if you know either of us, won't surprise you!) and started brainstorming the idea of hosting a small, pop-up indie craft fair in the back of Thistle. I tapped my friends Alexis and Amy of X37Adventures and we got the super ambitious ball rolling to pull off our first show just a little over a month after our first planning meeting! We're crazy, we know it, but when you have a new idea, sometimes you just have to shoot for the moon and go for it.

Thus, the birth of Indie Pop Craft Experience or IPCE for short.

IPCE's goal is to create a boutique indie craft show that features rotating artisans, crafters and vintage vendors on the third weekend of each month. We host a Preview Event on Friday nights from 5-9pm. There is a cover charge for that night, but you get to see all the vendor's goodies before anyone else - so first shot at all new product! We also feature rotating musicians, tasty treats and drinks and activities that fit the theme of our event. On Saturdays the show is FREE from 10-5pm and we carry over some of the fun things from Friday night too.

Our December show was themed Procrastinator's Christmas Extravaganza and included two Indie Dreamboat Santas, a super talented musician that played the lute, a load of snacks and a holiday wine cocktail that was as festive as it was tasty!

The theme for our upcoming show in January is Decompression: A Post Holiday Relaxation event. We promise no after Christmas sales here! We'll have a masseuse providing chair massages, drinks and treats, live music on Friday and fun vendors in a relaxing, no pressure environment!

Our concept is new and small, so we need your help to make it a success! Please come out and support Vintage Baubles & Bits and all the other local small businesses that are a part of this awesome new venture!

Be sure to like our Facebook page in order to stay up-to-date on each month's theme and the new vendors that will be making an appearance at the shows! If you're interested in joining us comment below and I can provided you with the application link and information.
